F&B Operations Manager - Master of Food
Kongeparken is looking for a hands-on F&B manager who will lead our team during day-to-day operations and take our food experience to the next level.

Everything from burgers and snacks to full-on experiences involving food, like Islabben and Freia Sjokoladefabrikk are integral parts of the Kongeparken experience, and it will be your job to ensure that our guests experience magic through food!

As the F&B manager, you are expected to practice a very hands-on type of leadership and work by the principle of leadership by walking. The operations can look different from day to day and your job is to make sure that they run as smoothly as possible - even if that means that you have to stand in the kitchen or do sales for a couple of hours.
The team consists of supervisors and frontline employees of variating ages and nationalities - from 15 to 60, and it's your job to train and lead all team members to create the best guest experience possible. Throughout the season you will have about 80 direct and indirect reports. You also have a responsibility to work within the budgeted guidelines and drive revenue through the F&B department.
The F&B Manager reports to the Director of Guest Experiences, and during daily operations to the duty manager of the day.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the day to day F&B-operation in the park, including:
- Making sure operations run smoothly - every location is stocked and all team members know what to do. The park currently has two restaurants, six food outlets, two business areas, and two overnight experiences with an F&B offering
- Creating magical moments through food with our guests and continuously using guest and employee feedback to improve the F&B experience
- Working in accordance with the park's values
- Food quality and food safety in all locations
- Training and developing the Adventurer team (and other seasonal reports) along with team leads and F&B employees
- Coaching team members to drive sales and continuously improving the quality of the food experience
- Delivering on budget and continuously pushing to reach better sales and guest feedback
- Administrative tasks, such as creating work schedules, ordering goods, stock counts, etc.

- An eye for detail
- Passion for delivering a magical guest experience
- Focused on our guests and team members
- Good attitude and a big smile
- Ability to put the strategy into action
- Able to work during weekends and throughout the whole summer
- Fluent in English
- A leader with at least 3 years of leadership experience
- Good leadership qualities - patience, focus, clear, persistent, and understanding
- Able to lead, motivate and inspire both older "specialists" and teenagers who have the first job of their life
The following capabilities and experiences would work to your advantage, but are not required for the job:
- Degree in the relevant area
- Experience from the theme park industry
- Comprehension of the Norwegian language
- Experience in running multiple locations simultaneously (high-volume operations)
- Experience with LEAN leadership
- Focus on systems, quality control, and consistency
- Drivers license
About the position:
- Full-time, year-round position, with immediate start.
- The park is in season from May until December. During this time, your focus will be on operations and making sure the guest experience delivered is top-notch.
- When the park is not in season, your focus will be on preparations. In the off-season, you might support other departments with project management/coordination and/or other forms of operations.
